Summer is officially over. And what a summer it was!
From the beginning to the end it was packed with all kinds of emotions, activities and experiences!
This summer I have both enjoyed and endured real, true, simple life. All of the beauty and pain that came with this season has left my heart overflowing with wonder and inspiration.
As the leaves start to turn, I feel as though I am closing the cover of one book, and opening another. This new book is like a sequel to the book of Summer, and will hopefully reap the harvest of all this season has prepared me for.
As the official kick off to my harvest season, I am so excited to announce the launch of my blog: Heatherfaria.com!
A few of you might remember my blog Lady Quite Contrary that I wrote at for a short time this last Spring. Well, throughout the past several months I have felt the Lord leading me in a new direction for my writing. Themes of Love, Grace, Faith and Hope have been central to every lesson He has been teaching me lately! Everywhere I look, every person I encounter, every new experience I have, I am reminded of these things He is gently impressing upon my heart and I am filled with a burning desire to shout to the world all He is doing for me.
Because I know, even if you don’t realize it just yet, that He can do the same for you.
It may be hard for you to accept that the same Love, Grace, Faith and Hope that God has been helping me discover can be yours as well. Perhaps you feel too far gone to be able to experience these gifts, or too broken or undeserving. Maybe you have heard about these things your whole life, but now real life has taken over and frankly it seems like God doesn’t really make that much of a difference.
Well I’m here to tell you that God is more real than anything else you will ever experience in this life, and that believing in Him makes all the difference.
As the start to my new blog, I have decided to join the Nester by taking on the Write 31 Days Challenge! Every day during the month of October I will be writing on one topic. The topic I have chosen is – Discovering How God Makes a Difference.
After the Summer I’ve had, it didn’t take long for me to figure out which one topic I wanted to write about. These past few months I have experienced precious moments of joy, and terrifying circumstances; mundane routine, and the messy result of sin. I have watched several close friends go through times of heartbreaking loss and had my heart break along with theirs. I have witnessed God answer prayers and I have seen Him say no to others.
In all these things, I have seen that God makes all the difference in how we perceive life and relate to our circumstances. He alone is able to give us the hope and the meaning that we so long for!
So if you have ever wondered how God really makes a difference in your life today, or if you simply need a refresher of the amazing impact that He can have on your life, then I invite you to join me on this journey!
We will be discovering how God makes a difference with:
Each day I will write a devotion on the topic and include a theme verse to go along with the post. However that’s not all you will be receiving! At the end of each post, I will include a challenge for you to reflect and respond to how God is making a difference in your life! My hope and prayer is that this series will not only reveal to you the immeasurable riches that God has in store for you, but will renew your passion for Him as you realize the ways that He is already impacting your every moment.
If you would like to participate in this series, you can click here to see a list of all the posts, updated every day in the month of October.
